Meet Your Photographer

Hi there! I’m Melissa, a photographer based in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. I live with my fiancé, Scott, and our three cats — Rusty, Gandalf, and Sasha.

I am the youngest of seven children, born in Kennewick, Washington in the late ‘90s. My sisters are my best friends and my very first models. I have a Masters degree in Creative Writing, and three bookshelves of reading to finish.

I fell in love with photography in my first year of undergrad, when I got a job in my university’s music department providing coverage for events like senior recitals and choir concerts. Since then, my camera has seen dozens of such concerts, along with years of family birthdays, hot girl walks, and a few trips around Europe. It has been my companion when it’s too hot, too rainy, too cold to be outside — but we went out anyway.
